About Me/Bio
Dr Kimberley Khodakhah is a veterinarian with 25 years of experience in small animal medicine and surgery. A natural leader, she has held several management roles including Medical and Hospital Directors. Dr Khodakhah has an entrepreneurial spirit and she combines her veterinary experience with the deep desire to help others. She developed, financed, and directs an international veterinary spay/neuter program in Fiji, the outreach arm of SPCA Fiji Islands. She also works with the Wolf Conservation Center which participates in the Species Survival Plan (SSP) for two critically endangered wolf species: the Mexican gray and the red wolf. Dr Khodakhah stays competitive and current by working as a veterinary locum in the greater New York area.
As an avid learner and while seeking opportunities to help, Dr Khodakhah qualified as a Certified Professional Coach. Starting Vetopia, Inc., she works diligently with members of the veterinary field to combat mental health issues prevalent in the industry through mentoring and creating hands on programs. Dr Khodakhah produces a bimonthly podcast, Time to PAWS, that supports the veterinary community by sharing experiences in the profession, encouraging others to take advantage of opportunities, gain the courage to lean into fear and change, emulate strategies for resilience, and create the career they envisioned.
Dr Khodakhah volunteers as an Advisory Board Member for SPCA Fiji Islands, Anubis Bio, and PAWSperous Pathways. She enjoys spending time with her two children, husband and furbabies; including 3 cats, 2 dogs, and some fish. Her hobbies include traveling, good food, and scuba diving.
